Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Tip A Star mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including those who send tips, receive tips, or simply browse the App.

1. About Tip A Star

Tip A Star is a mobile tipping platform that allows users to send and receive monetary tips. The App was built with musicians, artists, and creators in mind — giving talented individuals a simple way to receive appreciation from fans and supporters.

Tip A Star may also be used to tip waitstaff, hospitality workers, friends, family, or anyone you wish to show appreciation to.

2. Eligibility

To use Tip A Star you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Be at least 18 years of age to send or receive payments
• Have a valid phone number and email address
• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with Tip A Star you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Not share your account with any other person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payments and Fees

Tip A Star charges a small fee for each transaction to cover operating costs and payment processing:

• A Tip A Star service fee is deducted from each tip sent
• A payment processing fee charged by Stripe or PayPal is also deducted
• The recipient receives the tip amount minus all applicable fees
• The sender pays only the amount they enter — never more
• All fees are clearly displayed before any payment is confirmed

All payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. By making a payment you also agree to their respective terms of service.

5. Tip Limits

To protect users and prevent fraud, Tip A Star enforces the following limits:

• Minimum tip amount: $5.00
• Maximum tip amount: $900.00
• Maximum tips per recipient per day: 3

These limits may be adjusted at our discretion with notice to users.

6. Refund Policy

Tips sent through Tip A Star are generally non-refundable as they are voluntary payments made at the sender's discretion. However, we will review refund requests in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate or accidental payments
• Technical errors that resulted in incorrect charges
• Fraudulent transactions not initiated by the account holder

Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the transaction. Contact us at larry@lestercorporation.com to request a refund.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Tip A Star for any of the following:

• Fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities
• Money laundering or financing illegal activities
• Sending tips to yourself or your own accounts to manipulate the platform
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Using the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it

Violation of these prohibited uses may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

8. Intellectual Property

The Tip A Star name, logo, app design, and all related content are the intellectual property of Tip A Star and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Tip A Star is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available at all times without interruption
• The App will be free from errors or bugs
• Any errors will be corrected
• The App is free from viruses or other harmful components

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tip A Star shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss of funds due to unauthorized account access
• Technical failures or service interruptions
• Actions of third-party payment processors
• Any errors in tip amounts sent by users

11. Third Party Services

Tip A Star uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/terms)
• PayPal — payment processing (paypal.com/us/legalhub/useragreement-full)
• Twilio — SMS verification (twilio.com/legal/tos)
• SendGrid — email receipts (sendgrid.com/policies/tos)

By using Tip A Star you also agree to the terms of service of these third-party providers.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
