Tip A Star — SMS Verification Opt-In
When you create a Tip A Star account, you will be asked to verify your
phone number via SMS. This page describes how that opt-in works and
what you can expect.
How SMS Opt-In Works
During registration, after entering your phone number, you will see the
following consent checkbox. The form cannot be submitted unless this box
is checked. No SMS messages are sent before you give explicit consent.
Consent Language
"I agree to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Tip A Star to
verify my phone number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to
opt out."
Program Details
- Message type: One-time SMS verification code (OTP)
- Message frequency: One message per verification request
- This consent is not a condition of purchase or use
- To opt out at any time, reply STOP
